Why are you being asked to report?
For Supplier Diversity, you may be asked to report Tier 2 spend to help large companies track and measure the economic impact of their diversity initiatives throughout their entire supply chain. Here are a few reasons why reporting is important:
- Magnify the importance of a company's Diversity Objectives: Tier 2 spend reporting extends the impact of a company's diversity initiatives beyond direct contracts with Tier 1 suppliers. It ensures that diversity goals permeate through all levels of the supply chain, thereby fostering a more inclusive business ecosystem.
- Comprehensive Economic Impact Analysis: Tracking Tier 2 spend provides a holistic view of the economic benefits that diverse suppliers bring to the table. This enables organizations to quantify the broader impact of their diversity programs, offering a clear picture of their contribution to economic empowerment and growth among underrepresented groups.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Comprehensive Tier 2 spend data equips organizations to make strategic decisions regarding supplier relationships and diversity initiatives. This information is crucial for fine-tuning and enhancing supplier diversity programs, ensuring they achieve maximum impact and are aligned with broader business goals
