How to: Create Requisition
The Requisition system provides a single, intuitive location for creating purchase requests and routing them through the appropriate approval process, bidding process, or purchase order workflow.
This article explains how to create and submit a requisition using the Requisition Console.
Navigation
Go to Requisition Console > Create Requisition.
Actions
- Enter the following information:
- Project name
- Purpose
- Requestor (who the request is for)
These details are used to drive the built-in approval workflow.
Actions
- Add the required item(s).
- Enter the Needed By date.
- Enter the appropriate G/L Code.
- Select a preferred supplier, if applicable.
The system uses intelligent rules to identify emergency requests when the requested date is too close, helping identify potential scheduling risks.
After clicking Done, you can add more items
Review & Submit for Approval
The requisition auto-routes to the right approvers, with optional CCs for key stakeholders. Approvers get notified instantly, and you get real-time visibility. If you have not picked an approver, it will not let you submit. Once the approver is chosen and the requisition is submitted, you will receive an alert. press OK to move forward.
Approval & Notifications
Approvers receive alerts and you’ll be notified automatically once it’s approved.
It will show its progress with-in the console. In the console you can also use the Tools drop down to see your Dashboard or Approval Inbox. In the Dashboard you are able to filter by Summary, Process Overview, Cost Center, Department and Supplier.
