SRM - Add To My Suppliers — Building Your Supplier List
ARIA QUICK SUMMARY Suppliers can be added by search (by company name) or by bulk upload of an existing list. When uploading, you can optionally invite suppliers to register on SupplierGateway — this requires their email addresses and is strongly recommended to activate for key suppliers. Formatting guidance and upload templates are available in the SupplierGateway Knowledge Base — search 'upload template' for the current version. Once added, a supplier appears in My Suppliers and begins appearing in assurance and health monitoring. Suppliers without a SupplierGateway profile will show limited data until they register. Best practice: start with your top 20 to 50 most critical suppliers, not your entire list. Build the review habit before expanding. |
Two Ways to Add Suppliers
Search and add
Use the Add To My Suppliers search to find any supplier by company name. Results show company name, address, city, state, and phone. Select Add next to the correct entry to add them instantly.
Use this method for adding individual suppliers quickly — before a sourcing event, after a new contract is awarded, or when a supplier is referred to you.
Bulk upload
If you have an existing supplier list from your ERP, a spreadsheet, or a legacy system, you can upload it directly. This is the fastest way to get your full supply base into view from day one.
Upload formatting & templates Formatting guidance and a pre-formatted upload template are available in the SupplierGateway Knowledge Base. Search for 'bulk upload template' to find the current version. Using the template ensures your data matches SupplierGateway records correctly. |
Inviting Suppliers to Register
When uploading suppliers, you have the option to send them an invitation to register on SupplierGateway. This requires providing supplier email addresses as part of your upload.
Recommended: activate supplier invitations We strongly recommend enabling the invitation option when uploading suppliers. A supplier with a completed SupplierGateway profile provides significantly richer data in SRM — including verified badges, assurance status, and onboarding readiness. The invitation is sent automatically by the platform on your behalf. |
To use this feature, include a supplier contact email address in your upload file. The platform will send a branded invitation to each supplier prompting them to register or claim their profile.
After Adding a Supplier
Once added, SRM begins tracking the supplier. Their Relationship Health, Access, and Assurance status will populate as data becomes available. Suppliers who have not yet registered will show limited data until they complete their profile.
