Data Enrichment Overview
SupplierGateway's data enrichment process enhances the quality and completeness of your supplier data by validating and supplementing existing records with information from trusted external sources. The result is a more accurate, comprehensive, and actionable supplier database that supports supplier management, compliance, and reporting.
Purpose
This article explains how the data enrichment process works, its benefits, and the tools available to enrich supplier data.
How Data Enrichment Works
SupplierGateway's data enrichment process consists of four steps.
Step 1: Upload Supplier Data
- Download the CSV template from the Data Enrichment Console.
- Complete the template with your supplier information, including required, recommended, and optional fields.
- Upload the completed template to the Data Enrichment Console.
Step 2: Validate Data
The system validates the uploaded data for accuracy and completeness.
If you are using your own template, you may be prompted to map your fields to the system's recognized fields.
Correct any validation errors or missing information before continuing.
Step 3: Enrich Data
SupplierGateway cross-references your supplier records with external data sources, including government databases, certification agencies, and public records.
Additional information may be added, including:
- Diversity certifications
- Financial health indicators

After processing is complete:
