Currency Codes (3-Character Abbreviations)
Overview
SupplierGateway uses 3-character currency codes to identify the currency of each spend entry.
These codes are required during spend data uploads and are used to power currency conversion and normalization across reporting and analytics.
Only the values defined in SupplierGateway are accepted.
When This Is Required
You must include a currency code when:
- Uploading spend data
- Providing transaction-level financial records
- Working with suppliers across multiple countries or currencies
Each record should include a valid 3-letter currency code (e.g., USD, EUR, JPY).
Accepted Format
SupplierGateway only accepts:
- 3 uppercase letters
- Based on standard currency abbreviations (ISO-style format)
Not Accepted
Do not use:
- Currency symbols (
$,€,£) - Full currency names (
US Dollar,Euro) - Variations or informal abbreviations (
US$,EURO,USD$) - Lowercase values (
