What is Supplier Diversity?
Diverse Suppliers are defined as US-headquartered businesses that fall within at least one or more of the following business types as validated on SAM.gov or verified through self-identification.
It is important to know the definitions of different diversity classifications in order to understand your suppliers better. The following is a list of diversity classifications that we keep track of here at SupplierGATEWAY. We will go into detail later on in this lesson about the definitions of what makes a supplier fit into one or more of these diverse categories.

Why is supplier diversity important?
Utilizing small and diverse owned enterprises allow for the space to create growth, opportunity, and impact for these business on a local and global scale.
